- We are eliminating the plastic cellophane around our cardboard boxes to limit unnecessary waste.
- We are reducing the use of paper leaflets.
- We are incorporating more and more recycled plastic into our tubes.
- Our cardboard cases and supports are mostly sourced from sustainably managed forests and are FSC certified.
- We favour local or regional sourcing to limit environmental impact.
- We take care to minimize energy consumption throughout the manufacturing process of our formulas.
For years, social and environmental responsibility has been at the heart of our strategic and operational decisions. We are moving forward, with sincerity and transparency, to reduce the environmental impact of our activities.

We are resolutely committed to the fight against cancer. Year after year, we launch fundraising initiatives through our The Power of Pink campaign to support research and patient support organizations worldwide. In partnership with leading institutions such as the Institut Curie in France, the Swiss Cancer Foundation in Switzerland, the Pink Ribbon Foundation in the UK, the Fondazione Humanitas per la Ricerca in Italy, Alma Zois in Greece, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia, we join forces to advance the cause and provide better support to those who need it.

MAVALA has always been committed to sharing its expertise. As early as 1969, we opened our first school in London to train professionals in the best care practices. Today, MAVALA is a key player in education, offering diploma programmes in dozens of beauty schools in France, as well as tailored certification courses all over the world, ensuring high-quality training to the next generation of beauty specialists.

A passion for knowledge-sharing: Our commitment also extends to our local community. In Switzerland, and Geneva in particular, we actively support associations by working with homes for the disabled and disadvantaged. For a fairer, more inclusive future.

Founding of MAVALA and launch of our iconic Mavala Scientifique K+, the first penetrating nail hardener on the market. Our dream was to shake up the beauty market!

Mini Color's Creation
Shiny, long-lasting formulas for the first time in a mini format, allowing women to use every last drop of their nail polish before it dries out in a bottle that's too big. Now available in over 350 shades, and in bio-sourced or silicon-enriched versions, they're still as popular as ever!

Double-Lash Launch
Launch of the legendary Double-Lash, an iconic nourishing serum that visibly densifies and lengthens lashes. Over half a century of false lashes without false lashes!

MAVALA Expansion
MAVALA expands in the heart of Geneva.

Curved Mascara Brush Launch
Launch of a curved mascara brush, designed by MAVALA. Our first mascara was born!

Hyaluronic Acid
It's the first time such an active ingredient has been included in a hand care product. MAVALA did it: the Repairing Night Cream was born.

Barrier-Base Development
Development of BARRIER BASE, the first nail polish base formulated with water to carry water-soluble active ingredients beneficial to very dry and delicate nails.
